Gypframe 148 EDC 80 Extra Deep Floor & Ceiling Channel is a 148mm channel designed for floor and ceiling applications. It features deep flanges to accommodate deflection and enhance robustness in taller partitions. This channel supports the construction of 146mm frame GypWall Shaft systems and acoustic cinema walls over eight metres high, utilizing 0.8mm gauge rigidised steel and extra deep flanges for added strength. It is ideal for creating deflection head details in any 146mm frame and serves as an extra strong floor channel for structures exceeding eight metres in height. Gypframe Extra Deep Floor & Ceiling Channels are made from cold-rolled steel with a ‘U’ shaped profile. They are fixed to the floor and soffit to secure Gypframe studs in British Gypsum partition and lining systems that are over 8000mm high, include a deflection head, or require a higher Duty Rating as per system design.
